Breakfast, the most important meal of the day

I struggle with breakfast. If I’m honest I have to force myself to eat it.

 Everywhere you look there is evidence to show that breakfast plays an important role in keeping the body healthy.

With that in mind I do try my best to have a healthy breakfast each morning. This morning was no exception. Today’s choice was porridge (28g as a Healthy B) with milk from my Healthy A allowance. I chopped up some fresh, juicy strawberries and drizzled 1 tsp of Agave Nectar on top…delicious! and might I add, filling.

Lunch wasn’t very inspirational, but thanks to my breakfast I had the will power to resist the white bread in my bread bin. Instead I had scrambled egg, mushrooms and baked beans on 2 slices of wholemeal bread (Healthy B) with 28g of cheddar cheese sprinkled on top.

I’m just about to browse a recipe book or two for some inspiration for our evening meal. The one thing I love about Slimming World is that it’s suitable for the whole family. It’s perfectly safe for my children to eat slimming world friendly meals and they enjoy them too.
